Jordan avenue. the new house will evoke fond memories of the magnificent Jordan Crest gables from the street, while its interior will boast modern amenities to provide a living and learning community for today's students. Project Highlights the design will focus on long-term maintenance and livability issues using the latest technologies, durable materials, finishes and fix- tures. the 19,000-square-foot house will be fully compliant with the american Disabilities act and will contain suite space specifically for handicapped members. the design will include green energy solutions. the main floor is designed with a unique SAE foyer. the social space includes a tv lounge and game room with an adjacent multi-purpose dining room with seating arrangements to accommodate a variety of occasions. the library will provide small meeting space for alumni and undergraduate committees and a "smart classroom" Web-inte- grated television for multimedia presentations and class preparation. the full-service kitchen will be secure after mealtimes to protect the chapter's meal plan. Brothers will have access to a 24-hour kitchenette for late-night study breaks. a competitive, private house director suite has been included to at- tract a top-notch supervisor to oversee the facility and protect our in- vestment and to provide on-site mentorship and security for the members. sleeping capacity for the house will be 48 men, maximizing indi- vidual, private bedrooms consistent with what is offered across cam- pus for upperclassmen. Plans include opportunities for buildouts to expand capacity. access to the residential floors of the building will be restricted by elec- tronic keypads. each residential floor will have a shared study lounge with a kitchenette where brothers can interact. sleeping rooms are laid out in a suite style with no more than four beds sharing one private bathroom. parking spaces will be available for all residents of the house, in accordance with Bloomington building codes. 1920s Proposed house n.
