esigning runs in my family. As
a little girl, I imagined tassels
as damsels when they were
turned upside down. I would
sip cold coff ee taken from
my mother's cup when she turned her back
as I was privileged to stand alongside her
usually covered in loose threads head to toe.
I embraced the beauty and shine of raw silk
and etched it in my memory. I developed a
love of art and beautiful things.
