T hese past few years at Theta Delta have been very exciting from both an alumni and undergraduate point of view. First and fore- most, this last fall marks the first full year in the past 30 years that we did not pay rent to a third party for an annex. When the annex project was completed last year, it marked the most important milestone in Theta Delta's history since the refounding. A project like this could not have been done without the help of the alumni boards (and many others as well). That being said, I wanted to take this opportunity to let people know what func- tions the boards provide as well as opportunities for people to get involved. Historically, there had been one Corporation Board at Theta Delta that did everything from being the landlord and dealing with the major Lodge repairs and upkeep to mentoring/advising the undergraduates on day-to- day operations. A while back we decided to create two distinct entities. One owns the building, collects rent from the undergraduate members, and deals with the physical plant maintenance. The second board is much more hands-on, providing mentoring to the undergraduates; supporting #1, #4, rush chairman, and others when they have questions or situations that need input from someone that has been through it before. Both boards are filled by alumni who volunteer their time to give back to Chi Psi. Over the years, we have been remiss in promoting these opportu- nities for people to get back involved in the fraternity. If this is something that you think you would be interested in, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Or if someone asks you to join take some time to think about it; don't just dismiss it.
