JAMES GRANT MONCURE 1928-2018 An honorable Man Has Died Jim met Maggie Beckstead in Quartzsite, AZ the winter of 2003. Jim has been widowed after his marriage of 57 years to Marg. Jim and Maggie's courtship was fi lled with dances, music jams, desert walks, bar-b-ques with old and new friends, Long late night talks and each day a new adventure. They were married May 15, 2004. They brought to the marriage a renewed vitality, desire to travel, love of dogs and a commitment to each other. Jim was a proud third generation Scott. His desire to visit the home castle in Scotland began their travels; the British Isles, Germany, Mexico, Holland, Austria, Belgium, China, Russia, Costa Rica, Alaska, to name a few. He continued his work/hobby as Chairman of the Ririe (Idaho) Senior Center. He loved to teach bark carving. His little houses light houses, and wood spirits adorn many homes. The vibrant metal garden fl owers which he sold at the QIA can be seen throughout Quartzsite and Idaho Falls. Jim's life was divinely inspired. He was soul directed, rejoicing in life with a generosity of spirit, believing unconditionally in the goodness of all men, As his Alzheimer's progressed he was a constant companion to Maggie, never far from her side. In his last weeks, Maggie was his constant care- giver. She would like to thank Beacon of Hope Hospice, and the many friends who supported her at this time. Also, his steadfast dogs, Betz- Sue, and Charlie who remained at his bedside. In lieu of fl owers, please have a favorite drink (Crown Royal and wa- ter?) and recall the good guys in your life. At his request, his body was donated to science and will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held in Quartzsite at a later date. Nate's memorial was scheduled for January 27th at 4pm at Celia's Gardens, the Heros Bells. Due to circumstances we had to postpone. It is now scheduled for the 25th of February at 4 pm at the same place. This will not be postponed. We have special services planned for him, including a ride in by the VFW Riders. He was a Navy Veteran. Sorry for the postponement of Nate Boyd's memorial.Thank you for your understanding. NATE BOYD'S MEMORIAL RESCHEDULED DEADLINE : WED.
