Check at the Post or on the VFW Post 769 web site for information on additional activities being planned. www.vfwpost769.org Comrades meet –2nd Saturday each month –10:00 a.m. at Post Auxiliary meets – 2nd Saturday in the dining room area at 10:00 a.m. NOTE: VFW Auxiliary is collecting coupons you may have that you won't use. These go to the military families who can use them up to 6 months after expiration. Please help us in this endeavor to assist our Veterans. Coupons can be left at Post, Mt. Quail Restaurant, General Store, Community Thrift Store, or Lutheran Church. We are also collecting labels for the school and National Home for Children. You can leave items at same locations as coupons. It is now the season for Arizona Property Owners to apply for tax relief if needed. There are several programs available for Property Owners who are Permanent Arizo- na residents (Property Classes 3.1, 3.2 or 3.3) and need assistance with their assessment. Programs are: Property Tax Ex- emptions for Widows, Widowers, and Disabled Persons; Senior Prop- erty Valuation Freeze, for seniors 65 and over; Residential Property Tax Deferral Claim; Non-Profi t Or- ganization Exemption; Church Ex- emption. Interested? The last day to apply for the Property Tax Exemption is February 28. The Senior Property Valuation Freeze deadline is Sep- tember 1. Applications will be avail- able throughout the open enrollment period for each program. If you are unable to travel due to health rea- sons, we would be happy to set up a time to come to your home and re- view these programs with you. Notice of Values will also be com- ing out in February for the 2019 tax year. This is not a tax bill; this is the Notifi cation of Value and Legal Class that has been placed on your real property and improvements. If you disagree with your Full Cash Value or property class, you have the opportunity to fi le an appeal with our offi ce within 60 days after the mail date on the front of your no- tice. You may request the "Petition for Review of Valuation" in person or by telephone. We will be more than happy to mail one out to you right away. You can also access the appeal forms from the Department of Rev- enue's Website at www.azdor.gov, and download the form. You must understand that you will be only ap- pealing the 2019 Full Cash Value. Please keep in mind that we can only accept appeals from owners of the property. Make sure your par- cel ID number, owners name, mail- ing address, and legal description on your notice are correct. Should there be a change of ad- dress or any other discrepancy, please notify our offi ce immediately so that we can correct our records.
