Golf tourney raises $3,000 Friday, November 9, 2012 – Daily News Veterans breakfast 5B Sunday's Veterans Appreciation Breakfast, 8 a.m. to noon at the Veterans Memorial Hall at Oak and Jack- son, has evolved into a true community expression of appreciation for our veterans. It is with joy that this year's financial sponsors pitched in to provide breakfast for our veterans and active duty service members; all others get breakfast for $5. Sponsoring businesses are The Lariat Bowl, Corner- stone Community Bank, Rabo Bank, Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce, Tehama County Employer Advisory Council, Daily News, Downtown Red Bluff Business Association, Law Office of Cheryl Forbes, Balloon and More, The Gold Exchange, The Job Training Center, Sugar Shack Cafe and others. Businesses that have volunteered to sell tickets, dec- orate, cook, serve and clean up are Tremont Café, Bill and Mary McMahon CPA, Chase Bank, Crystal Art and Apparel, Plum Crazy, Ehorn's Antiques and More, Wink, Three Generations, Montana Morrison Gallery, Peacock Emporium and others. Red Bluff's business community is looking forward to serving, honoring and showing their appreciation to all that have served to protect our way of life and our freedoms. This is a public function and all are wel- come. The Tom Kinner Memorial Golf Tournament raised $3,065.58 that will go toward a scholarship for a student going to school for public safety.The Red Bluff Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the following businesses for their support in efforts to raise funds for the local high school scholarship program: Tommy K's 4-Alarm Yogurt, RS Analysis, Inc./El Dorado Hills, Rolling Hills Casino, Sevillano Links, Elit Automotive Ventures, George Growney Motors, Applebees, Atlantis Casino and Resort, Ben's Truck and Equipment, Casa Ramos, Matt Chamblin and Monty Smith, Lake Shastina Golf Course, Mt. Shasta Resort, Nails by Brenda, Sacramento Zoo, Tai's Deli, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, WalMart, Dave's Boots, DL Fire Protection, Gold Country Casino and Infineon Raceway. al Forest will remove the courtesy boarding dock at the low water boat ramp at Eagle Lake. This move is intended to prevent ice, wind, and wave action from damaging the floating dock during the win- ter. Sometime prior to Nov. 21, the Forest Service Road Crew will use a backhoe to lift the upper end of the dock and roll it to high ground, where it will be secured for use again next year. Floating dock to be removed In advance of the winter season, the Lassen Nation- While the courtesy dock will be removed, the boat ramp itself will continue to be available for launching until the end of fishing season (Dec. 31) or until such time as weather conditions prevent its safe use, whichev- er occurs first. At that time, the access gates to the ramp will be closed until sometime after the winter season.
