5 alpha gamma rho S ome recent renovations to the landscape at the chapter house were conducted with the help of alumni. Bob Good '88 (Γ1275) and his company, Good's Tree and Lawn Service, removed the large oak tree by the back parking lot because it was becoming a hazard to cars and people walking beneath it. After the tree removal, 30 additional arborvitae trees were planted along the side parking lot, which were donated by Scott Swackhamer '83 (Γ1202); they have green and gold foliage. These trees will create a secluded barrier between the chapter house and Laurel alley as they continue to grow in future years. Undergraduate brothers continue to get internship opportunities through active alumni; a few brothers who have had internships are Tim Smith '15 (Γ1710), Nick Smith '16 (Γ1737), and Cole Swackhamer '15 (Γ1727). In other recent alumni relations, another successful tailgate season has passed, and the undergraduate brothers would like to thank all of the gen- erous alumni for hosting us at multiple tailgates this season. We welcome you to come back to the chapter house for future games. Gamma Members Make Beneficial Changes to Study Rooms H ere at the Gamma chapter house, things have been drastically changing for the betterment of the brotherhood. Through some aggressive ef- forts brought to the table by our vast brotherhood and alumni connections, Gamma Chapter has been able to stay on top of things and make some inter- esting new improvements to the house. With a lot of planning and the help of many broth- ers, we were able to spread more than four tons of mulch around the property and added in a few new dry wells for gutters to drain into. Not only have we put a lot of effort in to improving the exterior aesthetics of the house, but we have also taken it upon ourselves to clean out and repaint many rooms in the house. The attic and both lounges are cleaner than I have ever seen them, and brothers actually like to use them as safe havens to study. One of the study lounges even has more than 15 desks in it and acts as the key place in the house for brothers to study. In my opinion, I believe that Gamma Chapter as a whole has made some amazing improvements to the house within the last year, and I hope to see many more in the future. I would also like to thank all of the alumni and anyone else who has helped around the house for their generosity. Without all of your help and generosity, we would not be in the position that we are today.
