ast winter, Madeline Frankel '14 approached the
House Corporation Board about holding two alumnae
weekends during the upcoming summer. Madeline had
heard the HCB discussing it during a meeting and decided
she'd like to get it organized during her last semester at
K-State. We told her to go for it! She set up two weekends
in June for alumnae of all ages to come to 1516 McCain
Lane to spend the night and take a walk down memory
lane. The fee was $50 per alumna, which covered costs
and allowed the remaining proceeds to go to the House
Corporation Board for updating items in the Chapter House.
And although there weren't big participation numbers,
those that did attend had a blast! Madeline (with help from
Maddie Jewett '14) did a great job of setting things up for
our first try at making this an annual event.
So ladies, contact your pledge sisters and mark your
calendars for the second weekend of June (the weekend
of June 16) for the second annual Kappa Alpha Alumnae
Weekend! We are going to try one weekend this summer
to see how it goes, and as numbers increase, we can add
another weekend in future years. Take advantage of this
chance to stay in the house and relive those wonderful days
with your sisters. I look forward to seeing you this summer!
I hope you all have added @ksu_chi_omega to your
Instagram feed. I have been so impressed with our talented
collegians and the way they represent their Chi Omega
activities in photos. I also enjoy seeing photos from
chapters from all over the country on National's Instagram
account, @chiomegaxo. These accounts represent the
reasons for our sisterhood in such a wonderful way, as well
as #whyilovechio.
Lovingly Yours in Chi Omega,
