Why would we expect him to suddenly become responsible, when he has never been responsible for anything and has made numerous promises that he has failed to keep? His arrogance is very evident. During the first two years of his presidency, he and the Democratic Congress rammed through a healthcare bill that more than 60 percent of American people do not want, and without a single Repub- lican vote. Why Obama? He thinks and speaks eloquent- ly when he has his teleprompter in front of him. Not one original idea has ever come from his mouth and he seems very confident with his own incompetence by constantly blaming anything and everyone for his troubles. His school grades were certain- ly not remarkable — he refuses to make them public. His job as a community organizer in Chicago and his brief career in the U.S. Senate, where he authored no leg- islation, hardly qualified him for the biggest job on Earth. 23 mil- lion unemployed Americans speaks volumes. His questionable association with the America-hating preacher, Jeremiah Wright, the terrorist Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis, a black poet, political activist and avowed communist who was introduced to him by his mother's father, Stanley Dunham, should have given thinking people an idea of his future plans. The last debate, he won and reinforced why we're lucky to have his steady, calm hand steering our for- eign policy. How can Mitt send other men to die in war, when he hid behind a religious deferment, during the Vietnam War, while picketing in sup- port of the draft. No Romney man has ever served his country. When his wife's plane filled with smoke, Romney questioned why they don't make airplanes with win- dows that roll down and he wants to be Commander-in-Chief. "We love women!," screeched Ann Romney. The truth is Rom- ney doesn't love or respect his wife. During the 47% tape, he dis- parages half of America and tells his billionaire buddies his cam- paign will use "Ann sparingly, so people won't get sick of her." How insulting to his wife, but she didn't care. She came out swinging at his supporters, who couldn't support his elitist remarks. Protecting her mate, who is incapable of defend- ing himself, although he is excel- lent at whining, blaming and demanding apologies. Romney claims to have the answers to more jobs. Tell that to the town of Freeport, where employees working for Sensata, owned by Bain and in which Romney makes money, are train- ing Chinese workers to do their Your Turn jobs, which are getting shipped overseas. Is this how Romney cre- ates jobs, by shipping them to China, so he can make more money. This is why Romney refuses to release his tax returns, because people will see he supported Bush's failed policies and tax breaks, but put even more cash in R'Money's pocket. Obama is getting us out of the economic mess the Republican party put us into. Romney, because they believe what Romney says about abortion and gay marriage, even though his views change with the political audience. Obama's principles are based on the Bible. He is a con- fessed born-again Christian. I believe God is asking the church, "Who do you want me to put into the position of President, this confessed Christian Obama, who follows the teachings of Jesus or Romney, who has disdain for half of America, cares only about the rich and nothing about the poor or middle class." And the Religious Right is shouting "Give us Romney!," because making money is more important than practicing what Jesus preached on the Sermon on the Mount. Like if you're ready for the election to be over Commentary You can count me in the cate- gory of people who can't wait for the election to be over and in a few days it will be. But I couldn't care less about the amount of attack ads on tele- vision, after all I know how to use my DVR skip button. What infuriates me are the friends, family and coworkers out there who will spend this remain- ing week trying to convince each other their candidate is right and the other is wrong. Social media has made this quadrennial night- mare even worse in 2012. I'm willing to bet there's at least one post on everyone's news stream with at least 40-plus comments of back-and-forth angst. We've all been trapped into one at sometime or another, but for our betterment it's time to realize how pointless these debates are. advice and still want to engage in the pointless ritual of online political debating than at least heed this advice. If you're looking for a fact to back up your argument online, you'll probably find it. Why, because you can find anything you want on the Internet. If you want to use actual facts, go to trusted sources of informa- tion. Remember if you read some- thing that smells like the equiva- lent of taking a bad step on a farm, then your gut is probably right. this literally time-wasting ritual. Because it's only a slight annoy- ance the right people aren't motivated enough to eliminate it all together. Even I have to agree there are more pressing needs. Human beings have e-mails. In reality you have as much chance in the coming week of convincing someone to vote on your side as you do of convincing someone to change religions. Political preferences are often deeply held beliefs that evolve over time. But they don't evolve as the result of someone getting more likes on their Facebook comment than their sparring part- ner did. People in your life will come to their beliefs on their own and it's definitely not worth creating ill feelings with your mom, best friend or coworker to test that theory. you're about to engage in a polit- ical argument, you instead take a deep breath, go find a helmet of some sort and bang your head against a wall 100 times.
