T he chapter is continuing along a great path. The executive board has remained committed to the goals we set at the beginning of our term and is working toward them all. As we wind down our terms, we look forward to the success of the new board, elected later this year, will have. The chapter's cumulative GPA is a 3.351, remaining significantly above the university's all-male GPA. We finished last semester strong with our annual St. Baldrick's Shave for a Cure event. Most of our members shaved their heads in solidarity with all patients of childhood cancer, and we successfully raised $30,000 for cancer research. Over the summer, I attended SigEp's biannual Grand Chapter Conclave along with Chapter Counselor Lauren Campbell and AVC President Rick Stepanovic '12 in Orlando, Florida. It was a great Conclave filled with SigEp history and celebration, professional development and legislative sessions where we, the undergraduates, decided on the future of our fraternity. As we started the semester, the chapter took a new, focused approach to recruitment. We are thrilled to report that 34 new members signed their bid with us, making us the largest new member class on campus this fall and almost doubling our fall recruitment numbers from last year. We are excited to see what positive impact our newest members will have on our fraternity. This summer three of our members, Zachary Sherman '19, Brycen Goldstein '19, and Jack Kornet '21, decided to put their entrepreneurial drive to the test and launched their own apparel company together. It is quite rare now that any of us walk through campus without seeing someone wearing their Comfee Boys attire. We are happy to see their success and support their venture. We also participated in the annual Michigan Mudbowl, fundraising for the C.S. Mott's Children's Hospital. The play-in games began October 20 and ended with the championship game on Homecoming morning, October 28. Additionally, we held our second annual Father's Weekend on November 3-5, highlighted by the University football game on November 4 against Minnesota. We would like to thank our alumni and parents for your continuous support and welcome all to visit us at 730 Tappan.
