The House

For eighty years she stood, anchored at 900 S. Providence
A gateway to Greek Town, a home recognized for her prominence.
Within her walls a sisterhood flourished, unbreakable bonds bloom
Despite the strength of the chapter, her crumbling foundation spelled her doom.
The House Corporation searched for a plan to save her exactly the way she was
They poured their energy into saving her, but alas, it was a lost cause.
It was time for a plan, to embark on a building endeavor
The first task was choosing an architect to design a house that would stand forever.
Treanor and Associates were chosen, the board made one request from the start.
The new house must have a grand staircase; it's near to our heart.
Little Dixie Construction won the bid; it was clear from their qualifications
John, Travis, and Tim would be able to meet our exacting specifications.
Our eyes and ears on site belonged to a busy man named Bill
He checked on daily progress, his updates created goodwill.
From far away, Marc crossed every "T" and dotted each "I"
His attention to detail made him our budgetary ally.
Under the guidance of Aaron, Studio Home provided the interior design
Their ability to incorporate the old with the new was our needed lifeline.
Throughout the journey many legal obstacles had to be overcome
Tom our attorney navigated codes and variances as a general rule of thumb.
The project was costly, money needed to be raised
For this, Pennington, Debbie, Marcia, Susie, and their team deserve our praise.
Additional money was needed, a loan was secured
Jill from Central Bank of Missouri made this occur.
On August 5, 2017, the project was complete
Thanks to Katie, Donna, Kate, Faye, Louanna, Trish, Maggie,
Carrie, Hannah, Nicole, Julie and Debbie for accomplishing this feat.
