Stine '49 entered Our Mystic Shrine on August 16. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe. He was former president of Calumet Council Boys Scouts of America, former member of the Munster Rotary Club, a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and former president of the Munster School Board. Jack was also named "Sagamore of the Wabash" by Governor Edward Whitcomb. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara; children, Jean and Thomas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Thomas G. Gerding '52 entered Our Mystic Shrine on July 4. He attended the University of Notre Dame for a year before transferring to Purdue University where he earned three degrees: a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy in 1952, a Master's in industrial pharmacy in 1954, and a Doctorate in pharmaceutics in 1960. Dr. Gerding served in the U.S. Army Medical Services Corps at Brooke Army Medical Center Fort Sam Houston Texas during the Korean Conflict. ALUMNI NEWS Lee Saberson '68 lectures at IUPUI in engineering and instruments. He is also an entrepreneur-in-residence at the Lugar Center for Renewable Energy. Lee and his wife, Barb, live in Carmel, Ind., and have two children. E-mail: leesaberson@ aol.com Kerry W. Blind '72 and his wife, Ann, live in Decatur, Ga. He and his wife, Susan, will celebrate their 45th anniversary in December. They have two daughters, Stephanie and Amanda. Rick and his wife, Marylynn live in Landenberg, Pa., and have three children: Ryan, Taylor, and Kasey.
