After completing his undergraduate studies at MU in 1957, Roberts served in U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He went on to own an insurance agency, manage apartment complexes, and support several philanthropies, including the American Red Cross. Roberts is survived by his wife, Donne, his children, Greg and Ellie, and four grandchildren. Frank Conley '54, a well-respected judge in the state of Missouri, entered Chapter Grand on April 11. George C. Pirch '55 entered Chapter Grand on April 22. He is survived by his wife, Ruth. Frank Gaines Harris III '58 entered Chapter Grand on March 1, 2016, after succumbing to Parkinson's disease. Born in Saint Louis, Mo., in 1935, Frank attended MU, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees. He went on to work for the company that would later become Exxon-Mobile before pursuing independent work as a geologist and petroleum consultant. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting big game, planting trees, and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, Cindy, his three children, Frank IV, Virginia, and Helen, and his four grandchildren. Frederick M. Paulsen Jr. '58 entered Chapter Grand on April 2 in Kansas City, Mo. Fred was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd for 52 years. He served as a lay reader for 35 years and as a member of the Vestry. In 1983, Fred co-founded a metal distribution company, Professional Metals, where he served as the financial officer until his retirement in 1995. Fred enjoyed golfing and cheering on the MU Tiger sports teams. ALUMNI NEWS Donald L. Spicer '50 lives with his daughter, Ann, in Charleston, S.C., and has lots of visits from his son, Don Jr., who resides in Colorado Springs, Colo. E-mail: spiceroday@comcast.net Sidney S. Lindley '51 says, "Congratulations on the very successful house upgrade. It surely was needed and it's a credit to the whole chapter!" Sid and his wife, Nancy, upgraded their own dwellings by moving into a smaller, renovated residence in Benbrook, Texas. "At this time in our lives, we need simplification. My lesson learned is to get rid of all of the stuff that is saved, unworn, or not used. Simplify!" E-mail: nalindley@gmail.com J. Edward Travis III '56 says, "I'm continuing to do my best at 83 years old to avoid entering Chapter Grand!" Ed and his wife, Irene, live in Saint Louis, Mo., and have three children, Ed IV, a Beta Theta Pi alumnus; Andy, a Sigma Chi alumnus; and Lynn, a Kappa Alpha Theta alumna.
