Dr. Travis McClure joins Washington Regional as Hospitalist SPECIAL TO NWA DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE Travis McClure, M.D., recently joined Washington Regional Medical Center as a hospitalist. Hospitalists specialize in the care of patients who are hospitalized, coordinating their care with the nursing staff and other providers, including the patient's primary care physician. Dr. McClure earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed a family medicine residency at UAMS Area Health Education Center in Jonesboro, where he was named chief resident. Before joining Washington Regional, Dr. McClure was director of the hospitalist program at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. He is board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians. APRN Jennie Spears joins Washington Regional Clinic SPECIAL TO NWA DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE Jennie Spears, APRN, recently joined Washington Regional's Eureka Springs Family Clinic. She provides medical care for all ages alongside Dr. Greg Kresse, Dr. John House, Dr. Jon Loudermilk and DNP Carol Perenchio. Spears earned a Master of Science in nursing from the University of North Florida and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Langston University in Langston, Okla. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and has been providing nursing care for more than 15 years in a variety of settings, including family practice, urgent care and cardiology. Dr. Stephanie Lowry joins Washington Regional's HerHealth Clinic SPECIAL TO NWA DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE Stephanie Lowry, M.D., recently joined Washington Regional's HerHealth Clinic, where she specializes in providing women's primary care services – preventive care such as vaccinations, treatment for acute illnesses such as flu and other general healthcare needs. She joins HerHealth's OB/GYN specialists Dr. Britte Smith, Dr. Candy Birch, Dr. Laura Collins, Dr. Mary Pat Hardman, Dr. Kristin Markell, Dr. Julie Wilkie, Dr. Amy Scott and Dr. Erin Large, who continue to offer prenatal care and deliveries, infertility treatments, gynecological exams and treatment for abnormal pap smears. Dr. Lowry has been providing primary care services for more than 10 years in Fayetteville – including at Washington Regional Urgent Care and at the University of Arkansas Pat Walker Health Center, where she was director of the Eating Disorder Treatment Team. Dr. Lowry earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed a family medicine residency at UAMS Area Health Education Center in Fayetteville, where she was named chief resident.
