page 2 Tri Delta Excels in Philanthropic Efforts Chapter Emphasizes Rituals and Sisterhood T he Delta Xi Chapter of Delta Delta Delta is so excited for a fresh start to the year as we welcome the fall 2017 new members into our chapter! We are grateful to have gained 71 women who encompass the true values of Tri Delta and we could not be more proud to bring them into our sisterhood. $98,866 RAISED FOR ST. JUDE As an annual occurrence, we were able to hold our St. Jude reveal during sisterhood week. During this reveal, we learned more exciting news: our director of philanthropy revealed that we were able to raise $98,866 for the kids and their families throughout this past year. We are now the 10th largest fundraising chapter in the nation. We want to thank everyone who has helped us get to this outstanding number in the past year. The support of family, friends, and alumnae members is overwhelming, and we could not have raised this amount of money without their help. On the topic of philanthropy, we kicked off the fundraising year on September 17 when we hosted our annual Triple Play softball tournament. We had more than 36 teams signed up to play! Delta Xi is ready to have an even better year for fundraising so we can donate an amount even higher than our set goal. DELTA XI CONTINUES CHAPTER EDUCATION During this fall semester, we hope to focus on improving our rituals and sisterhood. Although we made significant strides during the spring semester, we are looking to improve and educate our chapter in these areas, even more, this fall. We held initiation on October 12-13. Homecoming Weekend occured on October 20-21 and Founders Day on November 12. We would love to see our alumnae at events to continue to foster our relationships! I would like to thank the alumnae and volunteers that have helped guide and support the officers and members, and to all who have shown us the true meaning of lifetime membership and sisterhood.
