Sturis '00 THANK YOU, LOYAL ALUMNI Join Our List of Donors Today W e are deeply grateful to the following Sigma Chi brothers who from the outset have associated themselves in our fundraising effort by committing $1,961,004 to A New Era campaign. These men have set a strong foundation for the launch of our renovation campaign. Thank you, loyal alumni! Campaign Status At-a-Glance Total Raised as of October 16, 2017 $1,961,004 Campaign Goal $3.7 Million Number of Contributors 87 Delta Upsilon Forms Chapter aDvisory CoUnCil T he K-State Sigma Chi Alumni Association has made many positive strides over the recent months. We have formed a Chapter Advisory Council to replace the concept of a single chapter advisor and to further connect undergraduate members with Sigma Chi alumni. The council consists of five alumni who serve as advisors and mentors to the undergraduate chapter and its officers. Each alumni volunteer serves a five-year term. The idea is that each alumnus will progress through the five-year commitment with four other alumni brothers, sharing the respon- sibility to advise the active chapter. Each alumnus will focus on one office (we may expand this to two) during their term. During the fifth year, the volunteer will team with a first-year advisor to smooth the transition and maintain the institutional memory of the performance of each office. During year three, alumni will serve as chapter advisor. However, we envi- sion that all five brothers will function as a cohesive unit to guide Delta Upsilon Chapter. We believe this will ease the burden borne by past chapter advisors who felt they carried the torch alone and create a planned transition of responsibility with a clear end point to one's commitment, if desired. Past Chairman 2 - David Sell '88, Mentor: Magister Past Chairman 1 - John Seitzer '88, Mentor: Quaestor Chairman - Doug Burton '89, Mentor: House Manager and Consul Chairman Elect - Blake Moroney '12, Mentor: Recruitment Vice-Chairman - Scott Green '92, Mentor: Magister Thank you to these alumni for dedicating their time to Sigma Chi. Our chapter will be a stronger organization as a result of their leadership. DELTA UPSILON CHAPTER PAGE 2
