ALPHA CHI OMEGA 3 others had the opportunity to open up about their imperfections. Sierra shared her vulnerable side on the show and discussed her skin cancer scars. In doing so, she was able to help others gain knowledge on skin cancer and show that your scars and imperfections make you beautiful and wonderful and, above all, human. "When you share those things, that's when you begin to make a difference," Sierra explained. Winning such a prominent and respected title has been a little scary for Sierra, but it has been a fantastic ride. She expressed just how much being in Alpha Chi Omega has helped her in all aspects of her life and career, but especially in the pageant. Gamma Zeta helped her learn how to get along with people who come from different backgrounds. "Alpha Chi was one of the best experiences I could have asked for," she added. Sierra believes wholeheartedly in the sorority and takes her memories of joining an amazing group of women everywhere she goes. Of all her accomplishments, Sierra remains most proud of the fact that she has kept a soft heart in a world that can easily make one's heart turn cold. "It's not accomplishments or awards, but keeping a soft heart and understanding that people are good at their core." It's easy to think of the world as a dark place, but Sierra shines light on all the good in the world and hopes her sisters continue to shine their light in the world and keep on dreaming. "You're never too old to dream a new dream." You can connect with Sierra at sierrapscott@cox.net.
