The Lyre Letter 2 W e've finished a successful fall formal recruitment and are excited to jump into this semester! Our chapter was very fortunate to receive two awards from Alpha Chi Omega headquarters over the summer, a Chapter Progress award and an Outstanding New Member Education Program award. These awards are now displayed in our foyer. MOM JUNE CONDUCTS DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS We are so proud to show off the renovations to the front entryway and to the formal living room. Mom June worked tirelessly over the summer to help create a much brighter, aesthetically pleasing first impression when you walk into the house. SEMESTER OF FUN EVENTS The chapter is looking forward to several exciting events this semester. The sisterhood retreat was on September 15-16. We spent Friday night doing bonding activities at the house and Saturday at the lake. Our VP of membership programming, Elle MacAlister '14, rented a boat at Tuttle Creek for women to ride on. The chapter also participated in a philanthropy event, Todd Trio Block party, on Sunday, September 24. We partnered with Gamma Phi Beta and Pi Beta Phi to host an event with food and fun games. The event benefited each of our three respective philanthropies. JOIN US FOR HOMECOMING Something that we and every Wildcat looks forward to every year is Homecoming. This year Homecoming is October 15-21, and the overall K-State theme is Purple Pride Worldwide. Our partners are Pi Kappa Alpha and Alpha of Clovia, and our specific theme will be Chicago. We have some fun social events planned with our partners, and we hope to have great participation. This fall promises to be one of excitement and sisterhood, so please stop by anytime and visit!
