The license plate was re- moved from the vehicle and (blank) was cited for the Unlawful Display of a MI Suspended Plate. 8/20 QPD conducted a traffic stop on a gray Chevrolet Equinox with a broken tail light on I-10. The driver Martin ME- DINA was cited/released for driving on a suspended drivers' license. The front passenger, Thalia MEDINA was found in possession of 5.9 grams of marijuana and cited/released. The rear passenger Pedro FAJARDO was found in posses- sion of 0.6 grams of marijuana and cited/ released. The vehicle was towed to im- pound per ARS 28-3511.A.1. 8/21 QPD observed a trailer partially blocking the roadway at W. Cowell & N. Moon Mountain Ave. The trailer dis- played a Calif. license plate and a re- cords check confirmed the registered owner was (blank). A towing company took possession of the trailer. 8/21 Kaylup BORDERS was cited and released for Attempted Possession of Marijuana. Borders was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on I-10. The vehicle in question was stopped for a civil traffic violation (following too close). Dur- ing the investigation, Borders was found to be in possession of approx. 7 grams of marijuana, as well as edible marijuana and paraphernalia. 8/22 QPD initiated a traffic stop on a ve- hicle on I-10 where the driver Jacobson B. HURULA was found in possession of 6.8 grams of marijuana and drug parapherna- lia. Hurula was processed for driving un- der the influence and was subsequently cited and released. An additional charge may be requested via long form complaint pending the results of a blood test. 8/22 An anonymous person reported (blank) left two of her minor children, ages two and four, under the care of two teenage minor children, ages 14 and 15 at her residence. (Blank) left the minors under the care of the teenagers while she traveled to Las Vegas August 19th for an appointment and to retrieve per- sonal property from a family member's house. (Blank) was not set to return until later in the day of Aug. 22. 8/22 Edwin AGUILAR was arrested for Disorderly Conduct per Domestic Vio- lence. Aguilar was involved in a verbal altercation with his live-in wife on E. Main. Aguilar did disrupt the closing of a busi- nesses. Aguilar left the scene prior to law enforcement arriving on scene; however Aguilar was contacted on E. Main and was taken into custody without incident. Agui- lar was transported to the La Paz Co. jail where he was booked without incident. 8/24 QPD conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota for not stopping on a posted stop sign on Quartzsite Blvd. The driver David Robert GEPHART was found in pos- session of 2.5 grams of Marijuana for which he was cited and released on scene. 8/25 An unknown suspect driving a newer black Ford pickup truck pumped gasoline into his truck without paying for it. When the reporting party went to confront this unknown person, he drove off in a hurry. There is no further suspect information on the person or the truck. 8/26 QPD cited and released Steven P. GRAAF for exceeding the posted speed limit (35 miles per hour) by 20 plus miles per hour, a criminal traffic violation, on N. Central Blvd. 8/26 An unknown suspect stole two flashlights estimated at approx. $50 from a truck stop on S. Quartzsite Blvd. The suspect left the area in a silver colored Infiniti SUV bearing Calif. license plate numbers (blank) registered to (blank). 8/26. Fernando ESQUIVEL was cited and released on I-10 eastbound. Esquiv- el was stopped for a civil traffic violation (required licenses plate). Upon checking Esquivel's driving status, it was discov- ered that Esquivel's Calif. driving privi- leges were suspended. Esquivel was re- leased on scene, and Esquivel's vehicle was placed under a 30 day impound per ARS 28-3511. 8/26 QPD stopped a vehicle driven by (blank) for a civil traffic violation and found his license plate to be suspended for financial responsibility on W. Main St. Subsequently, he was cited and his license plate was seized for destruction. 8/26 QOD stopped a vehicle on I-10 and found one of the passengers, Cham- pagne S. CHEYNE, to be in possession of marijuana. Subsequently Cheyne was cited and released for misdemeanor possession of marijuana. 8/27 Sometime between 8/24 and 8/27 an unknown suspect cut off a padlock to one of the dryers in an RV Park on E. Cowell and stole approx. $5 worth of quarters. 8/27 Lance WALKER was contacted as a passenger in a vehicle stopped on I-10. The vehicle in question was stopped for a civil traffic violation (no mandatory rear license plate light). Upon investigation, it was dis- covered that Walker had approx. 2.4 grams of marijuana, 19 individual vials of butane hash oil (BHO) and approx. 0.8 grams of heated pressed marijuana was. Walker was long-formed on scene for Possession of Narcotic Drugs without incident. 8/29 A man was found dead in his resi- dence on E. Cowell St. In July he went to the hospital where he was diagnosed with various medical conditions. Next of kin had not been identified or notified. 8/29 Dennis GILBERT struck his wife with his closed right fist on the left side of her face. Gilbert was booked for Assault per Domestic Violence. 8/30 Susan COX drove her vehicle, a white Toyota van, into a property on Main Event Ln. Cox was not allowed in the property (Criminal Trespass( and she activated her horn for extensive pe- riods of time, while yelling (Disorderly Conduct). Cox drove around the yard with disrespect to the owners and their property. Cox ultimately got her vehicle stuck on the property where she drove into a wash (Reckless Driving.) Cox had two large dogs with her, which were tak- en to the animal shelter by LPSCO. Cox was arrested and booked on the above charges. The vehicle was removed and towed by a towing company. A 20 gauge shotgun, along with a box of ammuni- tion containing several 20 gauge and 38 Special cartridges, which were placed into safekeeping. 8/30 QPD responded to E. Kuehn St. in reference to Dogs at Large and found Benjamin HERNANDEZ to be in viola- tion. Subsequently, he was cited and re- leased for three counts of Dog at Large, a misdemeanor. 8/30 QPD responded to E. Kuehn St. in reference to a call to service at which point Freddie ADAMS was identified as having a valid warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court. Subsequently he was arrested and transported to La Paz Co. Jail. 8/30 A subject was cited and released for displaying MI Suspended License Plate. 8/31 QPD stopped a vehicle for criminal speed on I-10 westbound and detained (blank) a 16-year old female driver, who was alone. She was cited and released to her parents. 9/04 Richard Frederick MURKLAND was issued complaint/citation #02943 for vio- lating ARS 13-1502.A.1 (Trespassing in the 3rd Degree) for staying on the Ari- zona State Trust Land area located just north of Kofa Ave. and W. Tyson St. with- out a valid permit. 9/04 an unidentified male left a box of ammunition at a truck stop on W. Main St. and left the area in a black Dodge Charger. An employee contacted QPD and reported the incident. The ammuni- tion was placed into the QPD Evidence Room for storage as found property. 9/05 Antonio GONZALEZ was cited and released on I-10 for a civil traffic viola- tion (no valid license plate.) Upon run- ning Gonzalez driver's license status, it was advised Gonzalez' AZ driving privi- leges were suspended. Gonzalez was released from the scene, and his vehicle was placed under a 30-day impound per ARS 28-3511. 9/05 A woman made her weekly visit to a residence on W. Main St. where she found a male deceased in the residence. The male was last seen alive approxi- mately 2 days prior. It appears the death was of natural causes. Next of kin was notified and given death notification. 9/05 QPD seized 1.0 grams of mari- juana on I-10 after Keyon JORDAN was stopped for a civil traffic violation of front head light inoperable. Upon seizing the contraband for destruction, Jordan was released from the scene. 9/06 Jeremy KIMBERLIN drove his min- van recklessly on S. Emelia. Upon con- tact, Kimberlin admitted he was angry because a resident was recording his driving. Kimberlin was cited and released for reckless driving. 9/07 Carl Allen MCLEAN was contacted on Quartzsite Blvd. for an unrelated mat- ter. A records check revealed he had a misdemeanor warrant out of Parker for Contempt of Court. Mclean was arreast- ed and booked for the warrant. 9/07 QPD responded to a school when a student pushed his teacher, while she was trying to prevent him from getting onto the bus. 9/08 A male was found deceased inside his motor home on W. Tyson St. Based upon investigation it was believed to be of natural causes. 9/08 QPD responded to the residence of Michelle Dawn MALONE and found Malone had made five 911 calls in the past week involving non-emergency re- porting for which she was subsequently cited and released. 9/09 An unknown suspect discharged an unknown weapon at a travel trailer caus- ing a window to be damaged. This inci- dent happened anywhere from Chiriaco Summit, Calif. to Quartzsite. At this time, there is no suspect information. The vic- tim estimated the window replacement to be approx. $200. 9/09 QPD officer was flagged down on Main St bridge over Tyson Wash. A man reported he found someone's personal belongings next to a wash near S. Cen- tral. A driver's license was found with other personal belongings with no one in the area. QPD reported him as a missing person. 9/11 QPD contacted the missing person via telephone and cleared him as a missing person. 9/09 Ronald STEWARD was cited and released on I-10 after being stopped for a civil traffic violation (failure to maintain speed) and found to be driving with a suspended AZ Driver's License. 9/9 QPD observed a suspicious vehicle behind Carl's Jr. in the parking lot near the dumpsters. Police caught up to the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop which revealed the passenger Kevin Mourice MERCHANT had a valid warrant out of Maricopa County and was subsequently arrested and booked. 9/10 (Blank) was cited for driving with mandatory insurance suspended license plates.
