He will travel the U.S., working with national, state, and local leaders on engineering licensure, education, and ethics issues. Tom was recently elected to The Order of the Engineer National Board of Governors. He and his wife, Karen, have two sons, Greg '93 and Chad, and live in Manhattan. Karen retired from K-State in December of 2016 and now is able to enjoy some travel. A former K-State baseball player, he now volunteers with youth baseball in Bolingbrook, Ill., where he lives. He has two daughters, Cassie and Kara. "After reading the fall issue, Sigs are best on campus like in the '60s." Richard Hartman '71 makes his home in Portland, Ore., with his wife, Margaret, and reports that he is enjoying retirement immensely. "A good friend advised that if you have a project you want completed, do it before you retire as you will never find the time. Brother John Miller '71 and family came to Portland recently. Brother Larry Hartman '72 sends his greetings. We enjoyed our visit with Michael Elliot '70 and Bill Toepfer '71." Dave sees Bob Parker '77 on a regular basis, since he is a partner in their CPA firm, and Lyle Pishny '73 works in the building next door. He says Steve Dodd '74 "seems to be a monthly sighting, and I did a nice bike ride with Frank Garver '73 last summer."
