July 12, 2017 www.DesertMessenger.com 19 QPD BULLETIN CON'T 6/16/17 QPD contacted Randall COR- RELL on W. Main St. A records check con- firmed Correll had an outstanding misde- meanor contempt of court warrant dated on 07/29/2015 issued through the Lake Havasu City Court with a $4000 bond. Cor- reell was taken into custody and booked into the La Paz County Detention Center for the outstanding warrant. Sometime between 1800 hours on 06/16/2017 and 0930 hours on 06/17/2017, an unknown suspect(s) deflated 3 tires on a Chevrolet truck. The driver front tire's valve stem was ripped off and it is unknown why the 2 passenger side tires were deflated. The victim also reported the glass to the gauges on his brand new air compressor were broken and a special antenna to the vehicle was missing as well. 6/17/2017 QPD responded to a request to inspect a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) inspection of a Suzuki UTV on E. Kuehn St. It was confirmed the VIN number on this Suzuki UTV was different by one let- ter from the one on his title. A records check indicated no record found by the VIN num- ber attached to the frame and the license plate was MI suspended. I completed a VIN inspection DMV form and seized the license plate for the MI suspension. 6/18/17 Around 0130 hours, United States Marine Corps Government employees were authorized to leave their USMC boat and trailer at an RV Park on W. Main Street due to tire problems. The employee said they would return at approximately 0800 hours to pick it up. At 1112 hours the boat/ trailer were still unclaimed and dispatch could not get a hold of someone from the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma to make sure the boat/trailer were not stolen. At 1335 hours, no one claimed the boat/trailer so a towing company took possession of it. At approximately 1500 hours, employees returned with government vehicles to re- trieve the boat/trailer. They provided QPD with USMC IDs and told where to retrieve the boat/trailer. 6/18/17 Someone left the restaurant lo- cated on W. Main St. leaving a bank bag containing $2,312 cash. There was a total of46 $50 bills, 1 $10 bill and 2 $1 bills. The money was collected and submitted into the QPD's evidence room as safekeeping. 6/19/17 A white truck struck a Dodge Ram pickup truck on S. Riggles Avenue. The white truck then fled the scene. 6/19/17 QPD conducted a traffic stop on a black 2017 Dodge SUV for failing to stop at the posted stop sign on Dome Rock Road at Quartzsite Blvd. The driver, Jose RAMOS-JIMENEZ was found to be driving the vehicle with a suspended Ari- zona license. He gave consent to search the vehicle and was found in possession of personal use marijuana without a valid prescription. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was also found in possession of personal use marijuana without a valid prescription and personal use cocaine. Both were long formed the La Paz County Attorney's Office for Possession of Mari- juana and Possession of a Narcotic Drug. The vehicle was impounded. 6/15/17 QPD responded to a report that a woman forgot her small gold wallet inside the restroom of a gas station. She walked around the store for about 30 minutes when she realized she did not have the wallet with her. She returned to the rest- room and her wallet was gone. No Video was available and a search of the area revealed negative results. She said she had an unknown credit cards, a California driver's license and about $200 in cash. Between 6-18-17 and 6-20-17, a woman passed away in her residence on W. Mala- pais Lane. She had multiple health issues. An autopsy has been requested through the Pima County Medical Examiner's Office. Sometime between 1900 hours on 6/20/17 and 1323 hours on 6/21/17, a man died ly- ing on his bed inside his RV on S. Riggles Ave. During the investigation, QPD located several documents, business cards, and prescribed medication related to cardiol- ogy. The cause of death appeared to be medically related an biological brother was contact, and given a death notification. 6/22/17 QPD responded to assist the Quartzsite Fire Department with a de- ceased person on E. Tyson St. The thirty- five year old female had with a history of congestive heart failure, who was already pronounced deceased upon police arrival. 6/22/17 QPD responded to hit and run ac- cident involving a semi truck on W. Main St. There are no known witnesses and no suspects at this time. 6/23/17 QPD stopped a vehicle driven by Sergio Z. 0rtega and found it to be display- ing a license plate suspended for financial responsibility near the 500 block of W. Main Street. 6/23/17 A green wallet was found with 8 syringes in it near the Town Park at Senter St. and Plymouth Ave. It was turned it into QPD for destruction. 6/24/17 Zachary Myhres was stopped for a civil traffic Violation on W. Sunset St. and Central Blvd. Myhres license plate returned as being MI (Mandatory Insurance Sus- pended). Myhres was cited and Myhres license plate was subsequently seized. Between 5/1/17 and 5/31/17 A woman re- portedly transferred money out of her trust account and into another unknown ac- count. She allegedly also sold her property for $1 to a neighbor. 6/24/17 It was reported a woman was miss- ing after leaving her residence on W. Main St. driving a black Mercury Mountaineer with AZ Temporary plates. A family friend stated was on her way to Idaho to live with family members. 6/24/17 Curtis CROFTS gave false iden- tifying information to Law Enforcement by providing the name of Clayton Todd Crofts. 6/25/17 Deandre Smith was contacted as a suspicious person at. W. Main St. The vehicle was later found to be stolen out of Long Beach, CA. 6/25/17 A report was filed to document damage that occurred to a vehicle that was towed by a towing company, on at approxi- mate 1645 hours. 6/26/17 QPD was dispatched to the area of I-10 in reference to an assault in progress. Contact was made with the subjects at MP 18 when they stopped on the side of the road. Victim made allegations that her boy- friend Keldrick Demarcus GADSDEN as- saulted her by chocking her, pushing down on her face, biting her, and putting a knife to her throat. The investigation revealed no such incident took place. A video footage provided by GADSDEN showed he com- mitted the offense of Disorderly Conduct by yelling at her inside his Semi-tractor trailer while parked at a gas station in Quartzsite. GADSDEN was cited and release for ARS 13-2904, disorderly conduct. 6/27/17 QPD responded to a residence on W. Main St. in reference to a criminal trespass which resulted in a burglary by an unknown suspect. 6/27/17 QPD stopped a vehicle for speed around the 700 block of W.Main Street which revealed the driver, Abraham GALARZA had never possessed a driver license. Subsequently, the vehicle was im- pounded per Arizona State Law. 6/28/17 QPD identified and arrested Casey R. SIMPSON for an outstanding misde- meanor warrant while on N Riggles Road. 6/28/17 QPD was dispatched to a gas station on Quartzsite Blvd. for a criminal damage incident. A subject described as "Mario" was the driver of a black Chevrolet Suburban."Mario" became upset when a payment issue arose and punched/pulled the two side mirrors of a black Ford van. "Mario" sped off with some of the teenag- ers property. "Mario" was heard yelling/ cursing on the telephone by and several of the teenagers in the van. Officer estimate on the damage is $800.00 dollars. 6/28/17 Roberto DURANWAS was con- tacted at a gas station as a suspicious person. A record check revealed that Du- ran had a valid misdemeanor warrant out of the Lake Havasu City Court. Duran was taken into custody and booked into the La Paz County Jail without incident. 6/30/17 QPD responded to a report of someone making bombs at his residence on E. Quail Trail. Resident consented to a search and the only thing that caught the officer's attention was approximately 4 oxygen tanks inside. This report is for in- formational purposes only. 6/30/17 John NEWMAN was contacted in the 900 Block of W. Main St. outside of his vehicle which he stated he had been driving. He exhibited signs of being under the influence of a stimulant. He admitted to using methamphetamine the previous evening at residence in Ouartzsite, AZ. He was arrested and booked into the La Paz County Jail for DUI Drugs. 7/01/17 QPD found deceased male in his residence on E. Quail Trail. During the in- vestigation it appears the last time he was seen alive was estimated to be between 2 weeks to a month prior. No next of kin in- formation was located and cause of death appeared to be of natural causes. 6/30/17 Joseph JAMES entered a property on E. Kuehn St. and stole a 2001 Honda Shadow Motorcycle. The motorcycle was entered into National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a stolen vehicle. On 7/01/17 the motorcycle was recovered, hidden in between storage sheds on W. Kuehn St. The motorcycle was removed from NCIC and was securely stored at the QPD's impound yard. James has not yet been located. 6/30/17 QPD responded to a subject uri- nating in public at a gas station located on Main Street. The suspect was gone prior to police arrival. 6/30/17 QPD responded to a deer versus vehicle collision on N. Central Boulevard. There were no injuries to the occupants of the vehicle and minimal damage to the vehicle. Sometime between the first week of June 2017 and July 1, 2017, unknown suspect(s) damaged and forced entry into a business on S. Quartzsite Blvd. The suspect(s) stole several precious gems and rocks amount- ing in an approximate $18,000 loss. A latent print was retrieved from door handle and submitted as evidence. A damaged trailer appeared as if the suspect(s) tried to pry it open but was unsuccessful. No current information on outstanding suspect(s).
