n the past year, SigEp MO Gamma has been looking for ways to set ourselves apart
at Missouri S&T as a fraternity that not only excels in sports and school, but also
develops its members into balanced men and provides an environment that's an asset
to the school.
Looking back at the accomplishments of individual exceptional members, it's easy to
highlight our members involved in the Air Force Reserve Officer's Training Corps.
Senior Sebastian Klesing '17 was selected nationally as one of two students to live
and learn at the Air Force Academy for a semester. Sebastian and senior Christopher
Catlett '17 were honored to become pilots for the Air Force.
Sophomore Logan Wilcox '19 was accepted into the Frank J. Ruck Leadership
Institute for an intense five-day training program put on by SigEp National. Only 3%
of applicants are selected, so the Chapter looks forward to hearing about his experience
when he returns. Senior Joseph Mersinger '17 headed the task of creating the Chris
Norgren '07 Memorial Bench. After almost a year of work, it now sits on the newly
renovated patio area in honor of the sacrifice made by Brother Chris Norgren '07.
As a Chapter, MO Gamma has taken strides to put itself on the campus map as a great
organization and one essential to campus. The chapter explored two options to do just
that. SigEp's national philanthropy is Take Defense, an organization that serves to
provide in-depth classes on self-defense techniques. MO Gamma wanted to raise enough
money to bring Take Defense to Missouri S&T's campus, so we partnered with Step
Up, an organization on campus that serves to teach about bystander intervention and the
