Honoring Our Past T he Delta Nu Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega and the University of North Dakota share a storied tradition dating back to 1922. With more than 1,000 initiates, the Delta Nu Chapter has influenced the lives of numerous men, cultivating lasting friendships in the process. Many of our best college memories can be traced back to our ATW experience. While many of our alumni have gone on to successful and distinguished careers in business, engineering, technology, medicine, law, and countless other endeavors, the common bond of our brotherhood remains, along with our shared principles and values. Most of us can trace the roots of our success to family and 3000 University Avenue. rough ATW we not only learned the importance of friendship, knowledge, service, morality, and excellence, but we acquired valuable assets, which include leadership skills, organizational skills, social skills, teamwork, and character. Oentimes, these traits have been integral to our personal success and helped make us the men we are today. For more than 80 years, the Delta Nu home at 3000 University Avenue stood at the center of UND's campus before closing and eventually being demolished. Many of us attribute our personal and professional development to the experiences that took place within the house. Since the 2009 recolonization of Delta Nu, our undergraduate brothers have sought housing in small groups spread throughout on- and off- campus housing. If we wish for Alpha Tau Omega to continue its strong presence on the UND campus, we must ensure that we act now to secure our legacy. 3000 University Avenue e ATW house was built in 1924 and specifically intended for Delta Nu. For more than 80 consecutive years, ATW undergraduates called this their "home away from home." In 2007, shortly aer the chapter closed, alumni leaders chose to raze the house due to the combination of the poor condition of the facility and no suitable options for tenants. A group of Delta Nu alumni formed the Delta Nu Land Investor Group, LLC to pay the property insurance and maintained the land for seven years (2007-2015). In 2015, the Delta Nu Land Investor Group, LLC was dissolved aer negotiating the temporary sale of the land to the UND Foundation. Delta Nu Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity has the option to repurchase the land within seven years of the sale (2022). Alpha Tau Omega Delta Nu Chapter
