Funds from the annual campaign will be used for alumni programming, the Balanced Man Scholarship, and undergraduate leadership programs such as the Carlson Leadership Academy and Ruck Leadership Institute. I'm excited to announce the launch of a new online giving platform that will allow you to quickly and conveniently donate to the AVC and includes the option to make automatically recurring donations. To donate online, please go to sigep.kintera.org/michiganalpha. As always, we are extremely grateful for your continued support. The AVC would like to congratulate our chapter counselor, Lauren Campbell, Central Michigan '89, on being recognized as a distinguished volunteer at the 2017 Carlson Leadership Academy in Chicago, Ill. Lauren began volunteering with SigEp as Western Michigan's chapter counselor in 2007, and became Michigan Alpha's chapter counselor in 2013. We would also like to thank the Honorable Kim D. Glaspie, Renaissance '77, for 14 years of dedicated service to the AVC. This fall, Kim retired from his position of vice president of housing, where he played a vital role in purchase negotiations with the Church. Judge Glaspie began volunteering when his son, Zach Glaspie '05, joined SigEp, and was later initiated as a renaissance brother in recognition of his service to the chapter. He has also served as parent's liaison and vice president of alumni relations. Judge Glaspie sits on the District Court for Tuscola County, Mich., where he has been a judge since 1990. Last semester, the chapter got a surprise visit from an unknown alumnus who presented them with a Michigan Alpha composite that had been languishing in his basement for some time. We'd like to thank him for returning the composite, which now hangs in the James C. Park '59 Alumni Room at the chapter house. If you or any of your classmates have SigEp memorabilia you'd like displayed in the house, please contact AVC Secretary Ted Zukowski '83 at tdzuk@aol.com. Please stay in touch—if you've changed your home address, e-mail address, or phone number recently, you can update your contact information at tinyurl.com/lgsyem9 or by filling out the biographical update inserted into this newsletter and mailing it back to us.
