A
manda Swanson, wife of Daniel Swanson
'00, passed away on March 21. A GoFundMe
campaign was started in February to help the family
with her cancer treatments and is now raising money
to support Dan and their two children, Alexis (10)
and Cooper (6). The goal is $20,000 and nearly
$9,500 has been donated. Visit www.gofundme.

When Pete Kramer '03 heard that Holden Handy,
young son of Joe Handy '03, had been diagnosed
with Leigh's disease, a rare neurometabolic disorder
that affects the central nervous system, he quickly
found a way to help the family. After setting up a
GoFundMe campaign and donating $1,000, he
contacted other Delt brothers with a challenge: raise
$15,000 for Holden's medical expenses.
There is no cure for the disease, and treatment requires
in-home nursing, in-home physical and occupational
therapy, as well as significant healthcare costs for
hospital and specialist appointments.
In just 27 days, donations by 102 people surpassed
the $15,000 goal. As of April 20, over $21,000
has been raised. That is a phenomenal showing
of brotherhood. If you would like to donate, visit
www.gofundme.com/handy-family-medical-fund.
Thank you, brothers, for your generosity to those
in need.
