Delta Gamma Sisters Celebrate Academic and Recruitment Success Alumnae Should Be Proud of Chapter's Reestablishment A lpha Omega's first year back after reestablishment was a success! We are off to a great start, and I can't wait to see how far the chapter will go in the years to come. Our goal next year is to create stronger bonds with one another, grow in size, and have a larger presence on campus by being more involved in registered student organizations and Associated Student Government. In September, we gave 250 bids to the first pledge class in over 20 years, and in February, 30 bids were given in continuous open bidding. We hope to welcome 190 more new members to Alpha Omega in August during formal recruitment. We are enthusiastic about having chapter at the Town Center, which will have enough space for all of us, including chapter dinners. We had 21 members with 4.0s this year, and 102 members with GPAs over 3.14. We celebrated their academic success with a pie dinner on March 14. This year, we had our first Puppies and Pizza event, which was a great success, and we raised almost $20,000 for Service for Sight with our first Anchor Splash®. We are looking forward to our first Anchor Bowl next year to raise even more for our Foundation. We celebrated Founders Day with Eta Omicron chapter from University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, and we look forward to bonding with them at many more celebrations in the future. We have gotten to know many alumnae who signed up to be our Aunt Hannahs. It has been a great mentorship program that we will continue next year. Alpha Omega competed in soccer, basketball, volleyball and softball intramurals this year, and we hope to add swimming next year. We competed in Derby Days, Greek Sing, Stomp Show, and placed third in Carol of the Greeks! The reestablishment pledge class of Alpha Omega is full of bright and talented young women who have set a strong foundation for the chapter to build upon.
