Along with this discussion, we presented our new adviser, Nate Bevans '11 (Γ1590), and shared about the process in making him our adviser. Nate is going to make a big difference in helping our executive board and alumni board communicate better along with helping us work through house issues. Finally, I concluded my presentation with a discussion of house morale. I showed how morale was being affected and how we have been working hard to raise morale to the high level it is today. The state of the fraternity is strong. Obviously with the social ban currently on Greek life, people have been upset, but we have done extremely well in keeping house morale up despite this. Our chapter GPA is high, we have a great collection of new men, and the maintenance of the house is spectacular. It is truly a wonderful time to be a Gamma. Brothers Enjoy Living in Chapter House H ere at State College, Gamma Chapter is bigger and better than ever. In regards to numbers, our brotherhood is thriving with more than 100 active members, and our house was almost at capacity this fall with 45 brothers living in. Compared to the costs of dorms and off-campus apartments, living in the house is a bargain (and a lot more fun!). Each brother pays a mere $5,350 each semester to live in the house, which includes a house meal plan and our newly initiated security deposit. Due to many brothers graduating and several going abroad, our in-house numbers decreased going into the spring of 2017. However, we just had our first-ever live housing draft for next fall, and we anticipate being back up to the capacity threshold with 43 brothers living in the house. Although our house may not be as full this spring, our brotherhood remains very active. Lower numbers do not deter brothers from getting involved, especially with things like intramural sports, philanthropic opportunities, and house projects. In the past few months, our members have renovated the second-floor lounge and the rack, and we converted the third-floor lounge into a study room. Furthermore, the undergraduates recently spent a weekend mulching and planting 50 arborviti that were donated from an alumnus. After a successful and exciting spring, Gamma Chapter is ready for the fall semester! Fraternally, Patrick Schlupp '15 (Γ1713) VNR Finance
