Anchored In Delta Gamma at the University of Kansas spring 2017 inside: Helen Hovey Taliaferro '43 p.2 • Alumnae Donations Support Beta Kappa p.2 • Finding Our Purpose p. 3 B eta Kappa Chapter remains strong on the KU campus. Our quality active members have done an excellent job of drawing in the top recruits to Delta Gamma. As we continue our efforts to become a stronger Chapter, we look to our loyal alumnae for various forms of support so our undergraduate members are afforded the same opportunities for leadership and growth that we received. Alumnae support is crucial to our success and for the future of Beta Kappa Chapter. Over the last several months, alumnae leadership has placed a renewed emphasis on building our House Corporation. This organization is charged with the responsibility of maintaining our Chapter house and keeping the Delta Gamma sisterhood alive among both our undergraduate members and our alumnae. House Corporation members offer vital guidance and support to our undergraduate members and serve as important resources for our alumnae to remain connected to the sorority. We are always looking for new members, and what I'm asking for is an investment, not of money but of your time, that will pay dividends in the development of the young women that make up Beta Kappa Chapter. All you need is a desire to have a positive impact on a group poised to grow and do great things on the KU campus and in the Lawrence community. Our efforts to keep our Chapter strong will only be successful if every alumna participates, whether it is with time, talent, or treasure. We hope that you will offer your support so that generations to come will have the same opportunities you were afforded. We welcome your questions, input, and involvement. Thanks to everyone who has already offered their support. By volunteering with Beta Kappa Chapter, you will help enrich the lives of our members and make the Chapter stronger. Please contact me if you would like to get involved. I look forward to hearing from you!
