fiNd uS ONLiNE Alpha Beta Chapter c/o Phi Mu Fraternity 400 Westpark Drive Peachtree City, GA 30269 Address Service Requested Both Bid Day and Initiation are Kristie's and Ashley's favorite Phi Mu memories together. For Ashley, seeing how much the sisterhood meant to her mom showed her how she was becoming a part of something bigger than herself. As for Kristie, she loved sharing those times with her daughter because she knew all Ashley had to look forward to. "I can now see why my mom chose Phi Mu, and I can see the Phi Mu ideals inside of her. I understand now that she raised me to be a Phi Mu woman as well," Ashley said. Kristie is the associate director of children's ministries at her church and Ashley is an animal science major. Kristie and her husband, Allen, also have a son, Trey, and the entire family has attended the University of Arkansas. The Finneys live in Little Rock, Ark., and Kristie can be reached at finneykristie@gmail.com. In an effort to return all that afforded to her, Jacqueline volunteers as the chapter's current advisor. "I want to see the chapter's success," she said. "As an alumna, you see the opportu- nities that are available to these young wom- en that you don't understand when you're their age. You see the bigger picture." The largest change Jacqueline has seen as an advisor compared to her own collegiate years is the membership growth. In the 1980s, Alpha Beta had around 125 members compared to today's 400. On a national level, Jacqueline has also seen a change in Phi Mu throughout the years. "I think as an organization, Phi Mu is much more organized and involved and the expectations are higher," she said. "The active women are smarter, more driven, and ambitious." For Jacqueline, Phi Mu was her chance to grow from a small-town girl into a woman with a successful career who has traveled the globe. She never imagined being offered the opportunities that she has been given, had it not been for her sorority experience. With the plans for a new Chapter House, Jacqueline encourages alumnae to return to Fayetteville and reconnect with sisters. "There are a lot of people that have played a part in Phi Mu returning to Arkansas and the progress we've made between then and now is certainly a group effort," she said. "I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing today if it weren't for the advisory council and other alumnae who support me and our college chapter." As a national account manager for a ceramic company, Jacqueline uses skills learned from her collegiate years to have the confidence she needs to work in sales. In her free time, she loves to cheer on Razorback football and the Dallas Cowboys, read, spend time with family, and travel. Throughout the years, she has traveled to Europe, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China, and Hong Kong. Jacqueline lives in Bentonville, Ark., with her husband, Ron, and son, Noah.
