T
his spring, Washington Beta is working to build off of our successes
from the past, while also improving each and every day. Whether it
is remaining a top chapter academically, or strengthening our campus
relationships, Washington Beta continues to make an impact at
Washington State University.
WASHINGTON BETA WELCOMES
NEW MEMBERS, STAFF
Our fall new members were successfully initiated and our new member
educator worked diligently to teach our new brothers the values and
ethics of our fraternity as we strive to build better men with True
Gentleman attributes. Aside from welcoming 34 new members this fall,
we also welcomed a new house director and chapter cook. Since Dave
Bahoric began his role as house director in August, the chapter has
improved and Dave has been a great asset in helping us structure our
goals. Additionally, our new cook has been preparing nutritious meals,
improving the well-being of our chapter.
STRENGTHENING RELATIONS ON CAMPUS
We have built great relationships with the Greek community and have
been actively participating in philanthropic events. Last fall, we teamed
up with Delta Gamma to raise money for their housemother, who was
recently diagnosed with cancer. As the spring semester progresses,
we are planning to hold many philanthropic events and will continue to
accumulate a large number of community service hours while helping
the Pullman community.
CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT
Washington Beta is also thriving academically. Last fall, our GPA ranked
third amongst fraternities at Washington State and we will continue
to work toward reclaiming the number one spot. The leaders of our
chapter have attended multiple leadership conferences and retreats to
improve themselves and ΣΑΕ. Additionally, we are heavily involved in
intramurals, with roughly half of our chapter competing.
THANK YOU, ALUMNI
The men of Washington Beta are proud to conserve the rich history of
Sigma Alpha Epsilon. We thank you for your continued support and
guidance and realize we would not be the chapter we are today without
you. We hope to continue our academic, philanthropic, and membership
success in hopes to pave the path toward success for future brothers
of our chapter.
Fraternally,
Jack Sparks '19
