MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT A TOP PRIORITY
Chapter Earns Praise from SigEp at Regional and National Levels
C
alifornia Delta Chapter received the highest GPA in both the fall 2015
and spring 2016 semesters. In the fall, we earned a 3.15 cumulative
and 3.12 semester GPA and await our rank amongst other IFC chapters.
We remain in outstanding social standing in the Greek community, which
has greatly supported our recruitment process. This spring we welcomed
14 new men to the chapter who boasted a cumulative GPA of 3.36. The
chapter also had 49 members above a 3.5 this semester, which is approxi-
mately 38% of the chapter.
We are working hard to enhance our membership development sector.
This includes young alumni speaking at challenge meetings, hikes, sports
tournaments, and even hosting meditation and academic success events
weekly to truly build better men. We are planning our newest philanthropy
and actively participating in other philanthropies and community service
events on and off campus.
The chapter is full of new and eager leaders. Cal Delta had the largest
number of attendees at the most recent Carlson Leadership Academy and
continues to receive praise from regional directors and SigEp Nationals.
The new executive board is working quickly to implement the changes
necessary to ultimately put Cal Delta in place for our next Buchanan
Cup—the chapter's number one goal.
