Dolores was a member of the First Congregational Church and Children's Care Auxiliary and she enjoyed her P.E.O. friends. She played mahjong regularly and always had a book clutched by her side. Dolores loved all types of music and regularly attended musicals and the symphony. Her creative spirit was spent decorating eggs, painting ceramics, and creating sand sculptures. For years, both Dory and her husband, Frank, enjoyed their cabin at Lake Okoboji and trips to Mexico and Padre Island, where Dory could fill her pockets with sand dollars and shells.
