A l p h A E p s i l o n p h i A t t h E o h i o s t A t E U n i v E r s i t y Spring 2017 Rho Chapter Strand of Pearls S pring semester is off to a great start for Rho Chapter! After a successful recruitment period, the chapter welcomed more than 60 new members to AEPhi on Bid Day. The chapter members shared the AEPhi experience and articulated our values with the potential new members wonderfully. Rho Chapter members continue to serve as leaders in the Greek and campus communities, and active sister Lindsey Turoff '13 is the current Panhellenic Association president. From academic successes, philanthropic endeavors, involvement in a wide array of community service projects, attaining campus quotas, involvement in campus leadership, and building an amazing sisterhood, our collegiate members make us proud every day. The foyer remodeling project was finished in time for recruitment, providing a beautiful entryway to the chapter house for our guests. The installation of a new front door is the next project on our list, which will complete the entire foyer project. Our chapter is just four years away from our centennial—Rho Chapter chartered on December 2, 1921—and we will celebrate 100 years at Ohio State in October 2021. It seems like a long time away, but it will be here before we know it! Alumnae have already volunteered to serve on the centennial celebration committee, and we hope many more alumnae join us in the planning of this wonderful weekend. House Corporation and the chapter members are appreciative of the alumnae who have contributed to the Rho Chapter annual giving campaign. Your support and commitment to Rho Chapter is important in providing a well- appointed home for our members for years to come. I hope you enjoy reading about the three outstanding Rho Chapter alumnae profiled in our newsletter. They truly exemplify the values of our sorority. If you know a sister who also has an interesting story, please nominate her for a spotlight feature by e-mailing me at the address below. Please remember to send in your biographical updates so we may share your news in the next newsletter. We love hearing from you!
