RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
HAPPENED JUST IN TIME
Warm Winter Allows for Early Use of Outdoor Living Space
I
t was quite a shocker to have hurricane warnings here in January, but there we were,
preparing for the open house and ribbon cutting ceremony in sketchy weather. I would
like to thank all who came out to see the house and celebrate with us. Ms. Carolyn and the
collegians were very hospitable and provided wonderful tours of the house and lots of snacks.
We even got Chef David's famous cookies!
Fortunately, we finished the ribbon cutting ceremony just before the downpour. For those of you
who were not able to attend, stop by anytime to explore the new addition. Winter is feeling like
spring here in Gainesville, and the young women have been enjoying the outdoor living space.
Every time I visit the chapter house, there is someone out there taking in the fresh air. I love it
when a plan comes together and visions are realized.
Our summer plans include sprucing up the front of the house and the upstairs bedrooms. We
love to hear your feedback on this and future projects, so feel free to e-mail me with any
comments, questions, or concerns.
