3 Kappa Delta sisters loved spending Valentine's Day with Girl Scouts. We are so honored to receive this certificate of appreciation from the Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa for our continued support in the prevention of child maltreatment. From our Shamrock event in March to our wonderful National LDCs coming to visit, we are all excited to see where this semester takes us. We kicked off the semester by welcoming our new council members into their positions, and we look forward to this group of women leading our Chapter to new heights. Academic Excellence Maintaining a 3.43 GPA throughout the fall semester, we have moved up in our overall ranking to ninth place out of the 18 sororities on campus. We are always excited for our members who have the chance to attend the President's Reception each year, as they are honored for their hard work in achieving a 4.0 GPA or higher. We're thrilled for our improvement and hope for continued success in the future. Philanthropically Focused We recently had the opportunity to give back to the Tuscaloosa community by donating clothes through Alpha Gamma Delta's clothing drive. Serving the community in this way is always a great time to give back to the city we call home. This semester, we hosted our local Girl Scout troop for cookie decorating for Valentine's Day and other fun activities. We always look forward to this opportunity to continue to instill confidence in these young girls as we get to know them and serve as mentors. KD Sister Named Panhellenic President As you can tell, so many exciting things are happening with our KD sisters. Another highlight of our year so far is that Everette Dawkins '14 was recently named Panhellenic President at The University of Alabama. Everette continues to serve as a leader and role model within our Chapter, and we are so proud of her accomplishments! Alumnae Always Welcome I am honored to be the Chapter president for this year, and I look forward to this opportunity to guide our Chapter to even greater achievements and be better than ever before! It truly is such a rewarding experience to serve as Chapter president and to help ensure that our members continue to have an amazing college experience as Kappa Delta members. We are thankful for the support of our ever-faithful alumnae, and we look forward to seeing many of you soon. Anytime you are in the area, please feel free to stop by the Chapter House—we would love to welcome you home. The neon theme was a great way to brighten our week (literally!). This year's Masquerade date party was a blast as usual. We loved getting into the Mardi Gras spirit!
