Valentine's Day Dinner GOLD SHOW Feb. 10-12 New Authors at Author's Fair the next few weeks at Reader's Oasis Bookstore By Joanne Winer The Author's Fair at Reader's Oa- sis Bookstore on E. Main St. has two new authors to the fair this next few weeks along with the ones that are here for the next month or so. Dar- lene Miller, who has been coming to the fair ever since it fi rst opened many years ago, is back again this week and next few weeks with her new book which just came out Jan- uary 6 this year. Titled "The Search fro Grandma Sparkle", this new fi ction book is about the mysteri- ous disappearance of a rural senior citizen. When granddaughter Sarah learns that her grandmother Opal and niece Jessica are missing she decides to search for her, and her boyfriend from college goes along to help her fi nd her lost relative. Darlene is well know for her oth- er two books called "RV Chuckles and Chuckholes,', and " More RV Chuckles and Chuckholes" about her adventures on the road in an RV and all the fun things that happen along the way. She spent 15 years in an RV going all over North America through Canada and the US, and spent a lot of time in Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and longer in Iowa. She has previously written many articles in several magazines and journals. Another new author to the fair this week is Judy Howard. Judy lost her husband of 25 years when he passed away, and she wasn't sure what she was going to do with her life. She was reminded that life was short, so she sold her grooming business that she had started at 11 years old, and now writes full time while travelling all over the coun- try in her RV with her cat Sport- ster. Her fi rst book "Coast to Coast with a Cat and a Ghost" tells of her fi rst trip alone across country from California to Florida, with Sportster and a dummy dressed as a cowboy that she named Jack (reminded her of her late husband). She talks to both of them all across the country. Her sequel to this book called "Go- ing Home with a Cat and a Ghost" is a fi ctional account of a trip with the cat, and is a mystery about the com- plexities of the life of her character also named Judy Howard. Judy also wrote two other books- -"Masada's Marines" is about a ser- vice dog who helped a Marine over- come some of his problems with PTSD and rescues him. The sequel to this story is called "Masada's Mission", and tells the story from the dog's point of view. Her newest release is "Activate Lion Mode", and Meet new authors at Author's Fair
