NEEDS AND OPPORTUNITIES 5 CH ALLEN GES • Current house constructed in 1975 • Poor design has led to continual water damage • ADA issues (parking, ramps, no elevator) • Inadequate dining/chapter room space • Inadequate number of bedrooms • Stairs/restrooms do not meet building codes • Dated outside appearance • Ongoing maintenance costs of short-term fixes • Deteriorating infrastructure, plumbing systems, etc. "Since all the stairwells would have to be removed and rebuilt, existing electrical/mechanical and plumbing reconfigured/replaced, and a new addition constructed at a different elevation, AIC feels that it is more cost effective to construct a new building." – 2005 recommendation from Ai Collaborative's (AIC) Mike Puckett '85 "A new house would mean everything to the Alpha Gamma Chapter. It would increase recruitment and create a better environment for every brother living in the house." – Cash Jackson, Undergraduate Brother REN OVAT ION VS. N EW BU ILD
