Immediately following the January 14 Hi Jolly Parade a bake sale will be held in the Pavilion as a fund raiser for the Museum. Please stop by for the home-made goodies and say hello. We also recycle glass and plastic bottles, please drop items in our barrel at the gate. The Quartzsite Museum is open for the season from 10am to 4 pm Wednesday through Sunday. Admission is free and donations are welcome. The Showing Artist featured at the Mountain Quail Cafe this month is Oney Budge. Oney will show her new Desert Scene in acrylic at the cafe through- out January. Showing off the desert sky and area landscape in its beauty of color, is unbelievable to the eye. You can also see Oney's oil-on-deerhide work hanging in the Horizon Community Bank from January 1st through January 15th. The Native American theme work, many of which are of the model Christi Reese Howard and Quartzsite winter resident. Christi is an American Beauty of the La- kota Indian tribe. You can always purchase Oney's work, cards, prints, mugs and t-shirts at the Cafe's gift shop throughout the year.
