University of MissoUri 2 Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Collegiate Achievements, Awards, and Honors Study Finds Sorority Women Have Stronger Educational Outcomes Research confirms claims that sorority members have stronger, more positive educational outcomes and retention rates than non-sorority members, according to the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC). Alpha Phi collegians are a vital part of this community. The members today excel in many areas, but they are especially proud of their leadership throughout campus, philanthropic endeavors, and service to the community. The depth of the chapter is furthered by the diversity of majors that members pursue and the many activities that augment their study. Annually, the chapter hosts Red Dress Weekend during which the chapter hosts the Red Dress Gala and the Rockin' Red Dress Poker Tournament. Between the two events, Alpha Phi alumnae and families, Mizzou Greek chapter members, and non-Greek campus organizations assist Omicron in surpassing its fundraising goals each year. This past year, over $40,000 was raised in support of this cause. serviCe The word service is defined as the action of helping or doing work for someone else. This is exactly how the members of Alpha Phi spend much of their time.
