Kappa Kappa Gamma
Theta Chapter at the University of Missouri
4
T
he Theta Chapter alumnae and undergraduate leadership has
developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the
Kappa Kappa Gamma experience on the University of Missouri
campus. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has
been determined that renovations as well as a facility expansion
are necessary, and we must invest in our home to meet the needs
of today's students. Working with Scroggs Architecture P.C.,
Theta Chapter House Board has developed a tactical approach to
our future.
Specifically, we plan to:
• Increase the number of women who can live in the
house from 88 to 98 by adding new bedrooms.
• Expand and renovate the kitchen and dining room,
providing staff with a more functional space to prepare
meals and an open dining space for the members.
• Improve HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Provide additional study areas for individual and group
study, giving members the opportunity to complete
school work in a comfortable, quiet space.
• Expand the chapter room to allow large membership to
hold effective meetings.
• Remodel the house director's apartment.
• Build a new exterior deck to provide valuable outdoor
living space.
• Provide covered street level parking through
building design.
• Add enclosed stair tower for egress on the east side.
• Provide state of the art technology.
