Kappa Kappa Gamma Theta Chapter at the University of Missouri 2 Kappa's Collegiate Achievements T he women of Theta Chapter continue to excel on campus, in the Greek community, and within Kappa Kappa Gamma internationally. Theta Chapter remains a top organization at MU. Chapter Accomplishments • Spring 2016 all-chapter GPA: 3.444 (ranked third of 15 sororities) • Second overall in Homecoming 2016, placing in the top three in Talent, Service, Traditions, Parade, Merchandise, and Blood Drive • Second overall in Greek Week 2016, placing in the top three in Service, Public Relations, Games, and Fling • First overall in Greek Week 2013, 2014, 2015 Community Support • Kappa Klassic Golf Tournament raised $51,626.45 in 2016 • Each week, members volunteer at Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center, a horseback riding facility for those with emotional, physical, or mental disabilities • Members support Kappa's national philanthropy, Reading Is Fundamental, by volunteering at elementary schools and after- school programs Campus Leadership • 2016 Miss Missouri, Sydnee Stottlemyre • 2016 Homecoming Queen, Alyssa Goldberg • 2015 Panhellenic Outstanding Greek Scholar, Kiersten Kuc • Three members were selected for 2016 Class of Mizzou '39, recognizing the top 39 seniors • Five members were selected for Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society • Three members serve on the RAMS Steering Committee, a student-run organization that supports the Multiple Sclerosis Institute of Mid-Missouri Kappa Kappa Gamma Convention Awards • 2016 – Public Relations Award • 2016 – New Member Programming Honorable Mention • 2016 – Philanthropy Honorable Mention • 2016 – Recruitment Honorable Mention • 2016 – Standards Honorable Mention • 2014 – Overall Philanthropy Award • 2014 – Gracious Living Honorable Mention • 2014 – Public Relations Honorable Mention • 2014 – Recruitment Honorable Mention • 2008 – Most Outstanding Chapter Theta Chapter has more than 300 collegian members today? Increased chapter size provides ample leadership opportunities for members. Officers learn how to operate what likens to a mid-size company, managing a large budget, overseeing various leadership teams, and motivating their peers. Additional leadership positions are available for other sisters as well. From public relations chairman to events chairman, more sisters have the opportunity to lead and give back than ever before.
