Red Bluff had the fifth largest team with only 29 swimmers. The Tritons were only 7 points behind the 42 swim- mers from Scott Valley and brought home a 3rd place trophy with 495.5 points. Weaverville nabbed first place with 36 swimmers and 784.5 points. The meet began Friday afternoon with long-dis- tance freestyle races and Individual Medley. The Individual Medley includes laps of all four strokes in this required order: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle. Saturday events included breaststroke, but- terfly, freestyle (100 meters for 9-18 year-olds and 50 meters for those eight amd under), Medley Relay, and a friendship relay, which requires each team to com- prise members from differ- ent teams. stroke, longer distance breaststroke, a short distance freestyle, and freestyle relay.
