The end of the year is upon us! It is
truly gratifying to look back on the
eight short months that I have served
as the interim President and CEO for
the Greater Fayetteville Chamber. We
have accomplished a lot, yet we have
so much more to do. Our community
is beginning to come together to tell
the story of what makes this a special
community and a special region of the
country. I have had several productive
meetings with our friends at the Fayetteville-Cumberland Economic
Development Corporation, spearheaded by Jack Rostetter, and the
Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau run by John Meroski.
We have agreed to work cooperatively to spread the story of why the
greater Fayetteville community is a wonderful place to live and work,
a community on the move!
With the constant feedback and encouragement of our members,
we are committed to becoming "Best in Class". A great community
deserves a best in class chamber.
Finally, I want to acknowledge the incredible hard work of the staff of
the Chamber, Jenny Proctor, Kelly Moore and Nick Capapas. They
have moved mountains on behalf of this community this year. I also
want to express great appreciation for our Chair Kitti Jo Finch, the
Executive and Operations Committee's for their tireless work, our
awesome Board of Director of the Chamber and fi nally the work of
our other committees, Chamber Ambassadors, Fayetteville Young
Professionals, Military Affairs and Government Affairs. It is because of
the collective work of all the volunteers, many who go nameless
(but never forgotten), that our community is a better place.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Greater
Fayetteville Chamber, I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season
and an excellent start to 2017!
