e celebration ended in November with the selection of one winner for the grand prize of $65,000! Find out more about our big winner in the next issue of Aspire! e preceding nine months were especially exciting for the Credit Union family as we got to meet and celebrate with the 468 winners. Some of our winners chose to "pay it forward" and pass their winnings on to help someone or something else. Barbara Jennings won $1,000 and she chose to give it to a teacher at Rainbow Elementary School in Madison, whose child is battling cancer. "I just wanted to give back and make a difference in this child's life,'' said Barbara. John Bell won $1,000 and he donated it to an organization associated with his church – Amazing Facts, a Christian media ministry. Because Redstone boasts members throughout the United States, winners were selected who live in Alabama and beyond. Tommy Dean from Ennis, Montana, won $1,000. So did Nancy Harkins of Omaha, Nebraska, and Heather Barker of Waipahu, Hawaii. Heather maintained her Redstone account after moving from north Alabama to Hawaii a few years ago. She said she uses the mobile app and online banking for much of her banking. "It was definitely a wonderful blessing and gives me a little more savings to fall back on,'' Heather said of her prize money. Mason Fine of Tarzana, California, won $1,000. Mason, 34, plans to buy a mattress with his winnings. SHARING THE FUN WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS Cheryl Jacks and Audrey Browner both won Alabama/Auburn Football Game packages as part of the 65th Anniversary Giveaway. And they were happy to share the joy with family and friends. e package included 4 tickets to the South's biggest football rivalry game, hotel accommodations, and $3,000 spending cash. Cheryl, an Alabama fan from Huntsville, made it a girls' weekend and took three of her girlfriends. For Audrey, an Auburn fan from New Hope, it was a family affair. She took her mother, father and brother.
