Pike team enjoyed their time at Pi Kappa Alpha's Biannual International Convention this past August in New Orleans. Convention is always a good opportunity to meet with other peer chapters, check in with the national fraternity officers and staff, and take part in numerous informational training sessions about best fraternal practices. Beta Mu Chapter was well represented. The chapter received the Orians Excellence Award, Best Chapter Alumni Relations of the Year Award and other important programming awards, including the Scholarship Plate. Congratulations to the young men who are keeping Pike traditions strong at U.T.! In addition, our Alumni Advisory Board received, for the third successive year, one of the 20 AAB of the Year awards. International Pi Kappa Alpha President John Bobango, Arkansas State '74 presented Beta Mu's Alumni Advisory Board of the Year Award to Russ Keene '80, joined by Lone Star Region President Nat Mucha, Washington '94. Beta Mu Chapter President Lucas Anderson '14 with his counterpart from Cornell's Pike chapter enjoy Saturday's awards luncheon from the head table as Orians Excellence Chapter Award winners.
