Withfoundandrecycled metals and welding equip- ment, Bill Ranberg creates bugs, motorcycles, dragons, trains, tractors and what- ever else may pique his in- terest. Ranberg will be featured during the Open Studio Te- hama County arts tour, which continues 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10 and 11. After retiring in 2013 from his day job with the Bureau of Reclamation, Ranberg began assembling objects and creatures, from bugs to a very large dragon. A true Tehama County native, Ranberg was born in Corning and has lived in Red Bluff since a young child. A first time participant in Open Studio tour, Ranberg will be on hand to share his view of what others discard and consider junk. His ma- terials include but are not limited to silverware, pipe, railroad spikes, nails, gar- den tools, and found met- als. Open Studio is a free self guided tour. A map can be picked up at Dale's Car- pet, Tehama Country Vis- itor Center, Enjoy and the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce of- fice at the entrance to River Park.
