Red Bluff contributed most bountifully to the Thanksgiving feast yes- terday when one thou- sand fine, fat turkeys were shipped to San Francisco. The birds were bought from farmers around Red Bluff and were handled by Strong Bros., who paid fancy prices for the poul- try. The big shipment yester- day was made by express to Swift & Company, and is the forerunner of heavier shipments to be made be- tween now and Christmas. The packing firm has con- tracted for 130,000 tur- keys, and are getting the most of their supply from the Sacramento valley.
