CHI OMEGA 3 Χ Ω Emma DuMonthier '15 and Lily Roter '15 on Bid Day 2016 welcoming the new members! Collegians Raise Standard for Academic, Philanthropic Involvement Chapter Sees All-Around Positive Results N u Chapter has made incredible strides academically in the past couple years. In spring 2015, we received the highest GPA in Greek life on campus, and the second-highest GPA in fall 2015. This past spring, we received the highest GPA again at 3.612. This was well above other chapters and the all-women GPA. For an organization of nearly 200 women, we are extremely proud of our academic success and strive to continue this trend. Nu Chapter Raises Thousands for Make-A-Wish Philanthropically, we hosted Cookie Dough with Chi O, where we sold cookie dough for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Outside of Make- A-Wish, we had a program called Read Aloud, where we went to Madison public elementary schools to play and read with the kids. It is an amazing way to get involved in the Madison community—something not all sororities on our campus do. In October, we held our annual Walk It Out for Wishes event, where we put on a fashion show with college students and Wish Kids modeling clothing and jewelry donated from local businesses. We also held a silent auction at the event and all the proceeds went to the Make-A- Wish Foundation. Last year, we raised $17,000 and we are still waiting on the number from this fall, but we are hoping for the best. Undergraduates Welcome 55 New Members This fall, we welcomed 55 new members into Nu Chapter. They are a wonderful group and they are fitting into Chi Omega wonderfully. We are so lucky to recruit such amazing new members year after year. We currently are in a three- round recruitment system, and the Panhellenic Association at UW-Madison is looking to move into a four-round system, which is new and exciting for our Chapter. Increasing On-Campus Involvement The past few years, Nu Chapter has been increasing our involvement on campus. From student government to kinesiology club, our members hit every facet of campus activities. Additionally, within our Chapter, we have hosted many fun sisterhood activities. This fall, we had an apple picking sisterhood event and a Halloween movie night where we had apple cider, doughnuts, and a showing of a festive Halloween movie. More recently, we loved participating in all the fun activities that came along with Homecoming Week November 5-12. Undergraduates Connect with Parents, Alumnae In September, we had a group of alumnae come to the house for a pizza party. We spent hours with them bonding over all things Chi Omega, and it was such a great opportunity to get to know part of our Chapter's past. Then, on Emily Izenman '16, Isabel Jordan '16, Ayden Berkey '16, Zina Robbins-Maldanado '16, and Kylie Bromley '16 on Bid Day.
