F all at the fraternity brings back memories of leaves turning, the days getting shorter, Husky football, Homecoming, and a new incoming freshman class. After a great summer where the Washington Chapter brought home its seventh EO Blackman Most Outstanding Chapter award at the International Convention in Washington, D.C., 26 freshmen entered the halls of 2106 NE 47th St. and began their college experience. A great time for you to come meet the undergraduates and join your classmates is at the initiation banquet on January 7, 2017. Looking Forward to the Future As alumni, we have worked together to ensure Alpha Delt legacy at UW. You may not realize it, but our presence is an investment in the young men in our chapter. We continue to evaluate our housing situation and strategically plan for our future. With the unprecedented growth in Greek life at UW, it is important for Alpha Delta Phi to remain competitive with other fraternities and university housing options on campus. We are still in the planning stages, but are excited to share ideas with you soon. Join the Washington Alumni of Alpha Delta Phi Board of Directors The role of our board is to ensure the chapter house functions smoothly and has a sound financial footing. Members from every generation since the 1960s meet at the chapter house once every month on a Monday evening. It is a rewarding experience to witness the quality of the young men in the chapter, contribute to their growth, and interact with them personally. It gives us faith in the youth of this country as we see them in action dealing the many challenges that they face. Moreover, the experience offers an opportunity to give back to the place we all called home for a few years of our lives. We'd love to have some additional alumni consider joining the board. The monthly time commitment is not significant, but does require consistent attendance. If you are interested, please contact me to see if you have the time, interest, and commitment to join the board.
