We would not be where we are today without the support of our alumni. So please, if you are ever in the area, stop by for a tour. We would love to see you. Fraternally yours, Andrew Schmidt '18 President ajsz5c@mst.edu MISSOURIGAMMA PAGE 3 MO Gamma Blazing a Trail of Service T he Missouri Gamma Chapter continues to be an asset to its school and community. To ensure we maintain a standard of academic excellence, we thoroughly monitor the grades of our newest members through the Sigma Accelerator Program because we want every member to reach his potential. We also pride our position as leaders on campus and our dedication to philanthropy and community service. During all of our social events, we sell food and give all the proceeds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Much of our service is dedicated to our partnership with the university Mining Department. During Miner Rescue, brothers donated their time to the department from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for three days. For Halloween, MO Gamma also took charge of a room in this year's Haunted Mine. Through this partnership with the Mining Department, we continually build our strong relationship with the university. We also have several major events coming up for our Chapter. One of these includes the Annual Men's Dinner, where more than a third of our Chapter volunteers as servers for a philanthropic dinner hosted by a local church. We are very proud of starting the Sigma Phi Epsilon Sexual Assault Awareness Week (SAAW). The entire Chapter, alongside numerous other campus organizations, worked together throughout the week to host events ranging from a barbecue on the Havener Lawn to Pie a SigEp. All of the money raised will be used to hire instructors from a self-defense clinic to visit campus and teach any interested student about self-defense. The state of the Chapter is strong, and I am encouraged by what I have seen this semester. Derek Steinbach '18, Alec Crutcher '18, and their dates dress up for a fun night at formal.
